I loved watching this because I’m not signed up for wave and water, so don’t get much opportunity to paint waves, etc.
One of these days, I’m going to tackle this one and who knows where that may lead!!!
Thank you Ginger and Jon,
Mary
This is a great lesson! As always I learn something new each time I watch you. I love that you said not to take the picture (reference) so seriously. This really spoke to me as I tend to approach a project with the goal of matching the photo instead of creating a beautiful painting that looks like a painting. Like you said, you already have a photo. I also appreciate how you showed us how to correct or adjust something already painted. It reminds me that nothing is permanent and I can have a little more freedom in my painting. Life is a canvas! Thank you so much for all you do!
Glad I watched the whole thing through…. laughed so hard when Ginger said put clean cloths up when doing the spray and there she put up 2 painterly ones! Gotta luv ya Ginger!
What an enjoyable tutorial. Thank you for explaining the what’s and why’s of your painting. At first I couldn’t believe that you were doing away with the back wave….and then you did. It was a vast improvement and a perfect example of your “what can you take away without taking away from the painting?” That example will stay with me whenever I paint from a picture. Thank you, Ginger! 🙂
Good lesson! Thank you
Thanks Ginger for this lesson. It helps to see how a wave works. Love it. Hope to do it soon. Nina
