In this lesson, "The Concert by Curran, Charles Courtney", Ginger shows you how to paint a charming scene that was originally painted in the late 1800s. This is a challenging painting and will be well worth the effort to watch the lesson before grabbing that paintbrush.

I’m just beginning to watch this, but I want to tell you Jon how excited I am that you have made availabe the 9 piece traceable for the 18×24…..yippee, is all I have to say!
Really, how do I do it? From the beginner acrylic website?
Hi Jon . Episode 6 is covered over by the pic of the finished painting. Will you be able to re-edit it .. Please. Thanks for all you do.
Hey there! In episode 1 where we are making the background, what exact red did Ginger use? I think I heard Nap red.. which means Naphtha red/napthol crimson probably. But I also heard pure red/cad red… can you please clarify? Also, I am new here so please forgive me if this information is clarified somewhere else? I see both the reds in the materials list. Thanks for the lesson. This is an absolutely fantastic painting!!
Garima,
Ginger used ultramarine blue, magenta, raw umber, phthalo blue, and a little zinc white to lighten it for the underpainting on the gessoed canvas. When Ginger says “nap”, she is referring to Naphtha Red, and she used a little bit nap red in the final mix. If this is not what you are looking for, please let me know which episode you are watching and the time code so I can be sure to answer your question.
That’s exactly what I needed. Thank you Jon!
OMG, this is so beautiful
This is beautiful Ginger !
