In this lesson, "Julie Sonata the Pianist", Ginger shows you the importance of brush direction and also be aware that skin tones have many colors.
Don't be afraid to expand your palette with new colors. Keep an open mind.
Tutorial

The "Julie Sonata the Pianist" is painted on a 20" x 20" stretched canvas using Ginger's standard palette of colors. This was originally painted in 1911 by Frederick Childe Hassam.

Ginger, This is breath taking! I just LOVE THIS PAINTING. Hmmm probably not near good enough but I am going to try it. If I’m over my head I will come back to it at a later time when I have more experience. LOL I am sooo excited about this painting. Beautiful job, elegant choice!!
The back of the dress just glistens, Ginger WOW! I’m waiting formy canvas to be delivered and then I can’t wait to get started on this, It may take me awhile, but I am going to enjoy doing this.
