In this lesson, "Alone in Winter", Ginger shows you how to update a painting from the past with a little more vibrant colors and more natural. This is a little challenging but well worth the extra effort to see it through.
The original title and artist of this wonderful piece is "A Village Street in Winter" by Alfred Sisley in 1893.
Tutorial

The "Alone in Winter" is painted on a 12" x 16" stretched canvas using Ginger's standard palette of colors.

What colors did Ginger use on the background before she traced things on? It is does not look like one solid coat of brown+white.
Garima,
That is one that I did from the “leftover” paints after a lesson. Looks like it was primarily titanium white and burnt umber. You just need to do a light brown and tan underpainting to keep the warmth.
I love this painting can’t wait to try it. Who is the artist?
